Most people's passwords are terrible — pet names, birthdays, "password123" — because creating a truly random, strong password from memory is nearly impossible. Our Password Generator creates cryptographically random passwords using your browser's built-in crypto API. Nothing is sent to any server. The password exists only on your screen until you copy it.

Set your desired length (8-128 characters), toggle uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and special symbols on or off, and exclude ambiguous characters (0/O, 1/l/I) if needed. The generator creates a new password instantly. A strength meter shows the estimated crack time. Generate multiple passwords at once and copy any of them with one click.

Common uses include creating unique passwords for every new account signup, generating strong passwords for databases and server access, creating API keys and secrets for development environments, generating Wi-Fi passwords that are strong but still shareable, and bulk-generating temporary passwords for new employee onboarding.

Most password generators either run on the server (your password touches their infrastructure) or use weak randomness (Math.random).
